Marble Island is the jewel in the crown of the Duke Island group, which covers approximately 50 sq. km’s of cobalt waters off the central Queensland coast, some 115 km’s south of Mackay.In terms of topography and vegetation, the island is typical of the ‘Continental’ island masses which extend along Queensland’s sub-tropical coastline, the most well known of which are the renowned Whitsunday Group.
